About Alicia

Alicia is a self-declared Mom Life Strategist, which is just a fancy way of saying she's made her way through the messiest parts of motherhood with lots of trial-and-error.  She's not pretending to have all the answers—but she's been in it, learned from it, and wants to connect moms so they know they're not alone.

It all started over a decade ago in a small river town in Minnesota where she and two friends co-founded Moms of Stillwater (currently MasterMoms Twin Cities). With young kids at home these three moms needed to connect, laugh, and share their real everyday chaotic experiences of mom life. Their adventures were published weekly in the local Gazette.

When a move brought her and her family to the Chicago suburbs she wanted to continue her love of connecting moms and that’s when Glen Ellyn Moms Village "GEMV" and the MasterMom® Talk Series were created. Alicia was a guest writer and monthly columnist for several Chicagoland magazines, and hosted many events in the town’s nostalgic boat house. As GEMV grew Alicia added an amazing business partner, Patty Cavanagh, and it has grown to become a valuable resource in the community.

Alicia has returned to her roots here in Minnesota. She is bringing her collective experience and joy of connecting moms to create MasterMoms. Using her unique perspective, she is hoping to inspire others with curated content for Minnesota moms and beyond.  She loves highlighting moms who are mastering what matters most to them.

Alicia is a mom of two amazing boys, almost empty nester, and married 20+ years. She's a proud board member of Friends of the Minnesota Orchestra, enjoys beekeeping on her hobby farm, and is dedicated to building a collective community of moms.
